Well at least he's answering questions this time…
On Tuesday, Mathew Knowles was once again asked about his daughterBeyoncé's sixth studio album Lemonade.
Rather than dance around answering questions about the incredibly personal project, the Hold Up singer's poppa FINALLY addressed who the album is "actually" about.
He shared:
"Let me tell you who she's talking about, can I tell you who she's talking about? She's talking about you. You put that in context for you personally. She's talking about you and everybody that is you, that's who she's talking about."
Umm, we think it has more to do with you then us, tbh. In case you forgot, the 64 year old cheated on Beyoncé's momma, Tina Knowles Lawson, during their marriage.
Not to mention, Lemonade hinted not only at her father's affair but at her own husband Jay Z's wandering eye too. How sad!
But Knowles continued:
"I think that's the beauty of her creativity and I think that's what makes it so special, is that it relates to everyone. Every one of us have been disappointed before and have had to go through the grieving process of anger and, you know, disappointment and then acceptance and forgiveness. And I think that's why this again is touching so many people, because it's universal. Everybody can relate to it."
On that point we would definitely have to agree with the talent manager. While Mathew expressed his "it's about you" theory, his ex-wife was a bit more candidabout Queen Bey's marital strife.
We have a feeling that Bey's dad is simply trying to deflect the attention away from himself and any influence he might of had on the album.
Nice try, man!
